Ms. Perkins introduced Financial Literacy to her math classes by having Kevin Butler, owner of Butler & Butler Construction and the builder of the Beacon come and teach a lesson to our Math class. He used Monopoly as a tool to teach the importance of buying & selling property, and investing, along with numerous math skills such as counting, making change, and multiplying. To top it off… each student received a Monopoly game to take home to play and teach their families what they learned.
