Campus News 2019-2020
Review news and announcements from the previous school term.
Dear MISD Parents/Guardians
I want to take a moment and personally apologize for the long wait times families have experienced during device pickup. I understand your frustrations, and I want you to know that we are listening and have spent the last several days devising a new plan to make the process run more smoothly while keeping our students and staff safe. We are doing this by providing a dedicated drop off and missing device report location, increasing pickup locations, adding additional days and extended hours, and by streamlining the documents necessary to pick up a device.
Starting tomorrow, Monday, August 10, we will have five locations for device pickup. Each campus will have a corresponding pickup location. The chart below shows which campuses will pick up at which location. This information is also available at mansfieldisd.org.

PICKUP HOURS
Monday: 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. (high school only)
Tuesday - Friday: 9 a.m.- 7 p.m. (all levels)
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (all levels)
Although the first day of school is August 12, we want to assure you that students who have not yet picked up their device will NOT be behind. As always, we will start the school year making connections and establishing processes.
In order to expedite your experience, we have also added a dedicated drop off location for those students who still need to return their device or file a missing device report with the MISD Police. Please note this must occur prior to being issued a new device for 2020-2021. Devices need to be dropped off at the Technology Department, located behind Wester Middle School, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Please remember that students must have a completed 2020-2021 registration in Skyward in order to receive a device. You will need your students’ ID number with you. The Student ID number(s) is the only documentation necessary to pick up a device. If you don’t know your student’s ID number, contact your child’s campus, and they will be able to help you.
Students can also choose to use their own device instead of using a district-owned device. All programs and apps needed for online learning can be accessed on any device with Internet connection.
Once again I want to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that we have caused. I am hopeful that this updated process will help us expedite getting devices to your student in a safe manner.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call 817-299-6300.
Thanks for your continued patience and support as we navigate this unprecedented start of school.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kimberley Cantu
Mansfield ISD Superintendent
Good Morning Gator Families!
We are so very excited for the return of our in- person learners next week, Tuesday, September 8th. Please be reminded that students who made a change to their learning modes during the week of August 24th- August 28th, will remain in their original placement through the remainder of the first grading period. Changes to your child's learning mode will begin on September 21st.
Please read the attached welcome letter and watch all of the attached videos, as they explain the Gideon and Mansfield ISD's in- person instruction extended safety measures. (The Gideon Protocols and Procedures Presentation is the exact same from the Annual Title 1 Virtual Meeting).
Thank you so much for your cooperation, patience, and grace during this very unusual time. We are in this together, and will all that we can to increase the safety and positive learning experiences of your kids. Have a wonderful week!
If your child is returning for in- person learning on September 8th, please remember to label and send:
